We have donated over $2,000 over the last five years to charities worldwide.

- In September, Growing Power was awarded a $1.9 million grant from the Clinton Global Initiative to teach their farming efforts to small farmers in Zimbabwe and South Africa. He was introduced at the CGI's annual meeting by Clinton who introduced Will Allen as "this guy's my hero."
- Since E-Z Coffee's summer season, Will Allen and Growing Power have been featured in the New York Times, Associated Press articles, Chicago Sun Times, ABC News, Sundance Channel's Big Ideas! for a Small Planet and countless other periodicals and documentaries.

Who we are

The E-Z Coffee Stand is a youth-led initiative in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to help raise money for nonprofit organizations that are helping bring change to our troubled world.

In the past 5 summers, the stand has raised over $2,000 for organizations UNICEF, Heifer International and most recently Growing Power, a Milwaukee urban farming organization that helps people grow, sell, and distribute sustainable food in the inner-city of our city.

We were grateful to recieve the Innerfaith Conference of Greater Milwaukee's Youth Leadership Award in 2005 for our efforts. We have also been recognized by the Milwaukee Common Council, Heifer International and our neighborhood's newsletter, the Highlighter.

The stand is located on the corner of Hi-Mount Boulevard (50th) and Vine Streets during the summer months of June, July and August weekly on Wednesdays from 7:00 to 9:00. We sell Alterra Coffee, pastry and smiles and appreciate all donations towards our goal. We also perform live music, distribute informational resources, and show videos about that summer's cause.
